The Leon County Chapter of The Charmettes, Incorporated
Debutante Scholarship Presentation and Ball
March 29,2025
Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

My name is Nonye Adure Brantley, the proud daughter of Mr. Jonathan Brantley and Dr. Adanna Amanze. I am currently an honors student and senior at Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida where I am involved in various academic and extra-curricular activities.

I have an unwavering passion to serve my community through my exceptional academic achievements, leadership skills, community engagement, and educational youth initiatives promoting the arts. I am excited to announce that I will be partnering with The Charmettes Incorporated and participating in their Debutante Scholarship Ball, to raise funds to support their ongoing efforts to eradicate cancer which is very near and dear to my family’s heart.

The Charmettes, Incorporated was founded in 1951 and is a nationally renowned 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization of phenomenal women. It is a sisterhood of dedicated women committed to improving the quality of life within our communities through advocacy, education, service and support for cancer research. The Leon County Chapter Incorporated was founded in 1969. To date as a national organization, they have contributed over 1 million dollars to the Howard University Cancer Center in Washington, D.C., to support cancer research and services. Locally, for over 50 years, the Leon County Chapter of The Charmettes hosts a Debutante Scholarship Presentation and Ball. It is a signature event that has presented over 500 young ladies to the Tallahassee community and provided tens of thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

My parents and I are soliciting your prayers and support for my passion to serve and play a role in making a difference in our communities. As with many positive endeavors, there is a financial obligation. I am appealing to local businesses/organizations, family, and friends for support. It is our hope that you will support me by becoming a Sponsor and/or placing a Congratulatory Business or Personal Ad in the Souvenir Journal Program Book. Your well-wishes will be included for me to read and remember in the years to come. All tax-deductible proceeds will support not only cancer services, treatment, and research, but my educational and career aspirations. Levels of giving vary and any donation made is greatly appreciated. We kindly request that donations are submitted by March 1, 2025. Please reach out to me if you have any questions at adureb11@gmail.com. I would love the opportunity to share my story and future aspirations with you.

Sincerely,

Nonye
